STEINER ACADEMY HEREFORD – PROFILE FOR 2013-2014

Pupil Achievement and Progress in 2014

67% of Class 10 2014 left school with 5 or more A*- C GCSE including English and Maths or equivalent.*

80% of the Class left with 5 or more A* – G.

100% of them left with 3 or more GCSE or equivalent.

67% achieved A*-C in English  (Lit and Lang)

71% achieved A*-C in English Lang

79% made expected or better progresss in Eng Lang.**

100% of the group made expected progress or better in Maths.***

*Sadly, Government guidelines as to what qualifies to be part of our performance measure changed in 2013 and the practical and vocational BTec which the majority of the class sat will not be represented in our “headline” figure published in January 2015 and  read that only 29% of the class achieved 5 or more A*C grades.

**Additionally those children who sat Eng Lang. but not Eng Lit. do not appear on our “headline”  figure.  As traditionally we did not put children through SATs at the end of Key Stage 2, our progress level from DfE is not based on the full cohort and reads at 59% for English.

***Those children who took Maths Functional Skills do not appear on our “headline” figure. As traditionally we did not put children through SATs at the end of Key Stage 2, our progress level from DfE is not based on the full cohort and reads 84% for Maths.

Our internal data is based on Cognitive Ability Test data, which is a nationally standardised and recognised test.
