GCSE Exam Performance 2015

GCSE ATTAINMENT OVERALL

  • Our total Year 11 (Class 10) cohort this year was 21 students, which included 5 students (24% of cohort) with Special Educational Needs (SEN) (one statemented) and one further Pupil Premium (PP) student.
  • 52% of the cohort achieved 5 or more A*- C grades at GCSE including English and Maths
  • Of the 18 candidates who were entered for 5 or more GCSEs, 61% achieved 5 or more A*- C grades including English and Maths
  • 81% of the cohort achieved 5 or more GCSEs at grades A* – G
  • 100% of the cohort achieved 2 or more GCSEs at grades A* – G
  • Across all subject entries our lowest A*- C pass rate was 69%
  • Approximately one third of all grades achieved were A or A*
  • Our APS (GCSE Average Points Score) has increased from 2014 although it is not yet back in line with the 2013 figure.

PUPIL PROGRESS IN ENGLISH

  • 86% achieved A*- C grades in English
  • 86% made expected progress or better in English (expected 52%, better than expected 24%, outstanding 10%)
  • 0% of the SEN cohort achieved A*- C in English
  • 80% of SEN cohort made expected progress or better in English
  • 100% of PP cohort achieved A*- C in English
  • 100% of PP cohort made expected progress of better in English

PUPIL PROGRESS IN MATHS

  • 76% of the cohort achieved A*- C grades in Maths
  • 76% made expected progress or better in Maths (expected 52%, outstanding 24%)
  • 20% of the SEN cohort achieved A*- C grades in Maths
  • 100% of the SEN cohort made expected progress or better in Maths
  • 100% of PP cohort achieved A*-C grades in Maths
  • 100% of PP cohort made expected progress of better in Maths
