2016 GCSE ATTAINMENT AND PROGRESS OVERALL

  • Our total Year 11 (Class 10) cohort this year was 25 students, which included 4 students (16% of cohort) with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and 2 further Pupil Premium (PP) students and 1 Looked After Child (LAC).
  • The average number of qualifications per student was 6.4
  • Our Attainment 8 average was 46.6
  • Our Progress 8 score was 1.29 (confidence interval +0.83 to +1.74)
  • 60% of the cohort achieved 5 or more A*- C grades at GCSE including English and Maths
  • 96% of the cohort achieved 5 or more GCSEs at grades A* – G
  • 100% of the cohort achieved at least 1 qualification
  • Across all subject entries our lowest A*- C pass rate was 40% which was in Drama – a GCSE which we were new to this year.
  • Approximately 29% of all grades achieved were A or A*
  • Our APS capped at best 8 is 288, a significant increase on last year and returning us to over and above 2013 figures.
  • 20% of the cohort attained the English Baccalaureate – this is the first year where we have chosen to enter some of our students for the qualifications which meet this measure

PUPIL PROGRESS IN ENGLISH (data based on KS2 SATS to which we do not teach)

  • 84% achieved A*- C grades in English
  • 100% made expected progress or better in English
  • 50% of the SEN cohort achieved A*- C in English
  • 100% of SEN cohort made expected progress or better in English
  • 50% of PP cohort achieved A*- C in English
  • 100% of PP cohort made expected progress of better in English
  • 100% of LAC cohort achieved A*- C in English
  • 100% of LAC cohort made expected progress or better in English

PUPIL PROGRESS IN MATHS (data based on KS2 SATS to which we do not teach)

  • 68% of the cohort achieved A*- C grades in Maths
  • 100% made expected progress or better in Maths
  • 25% of the SEN cohort achieved A*- C grades in Maths
  • 100% of the SEN cohort made expected progress or better in Maths
  • 0% of PP cohort achieved A*-C grades in Maths
  • 0% of the PP cohort made expected progress or better in Maths
  • 0% of the LAC cohort achieved A*-C grades in Maths
  • 0% of the LAC cohort made expected progress or better in Maths
