A unique opportunity has arisen for a suitably skilled and experienced Steiner Teacher Trainer, project developer and facilitator at our school. We have been successful in securing a substantial grant to be paid over a three year period to establish and develop a programme to support teachers to become good Steiner teachers.
The project, which will be developed by the successful candidate, is intended particularly for mainstream teachers with QTS who want to become Steiner teachers, TA’s who are already working in a Steiner classroom and have shown potential/interest in becoming a class teacher, or people with a Steiner background but new to class teaching. The scheme will provide training and mentors and aims to ensure teachers develop the confidence and skills to work with confidence and creativity within the Steiner pedagogy whilst consistently adhering to the DfE’s Teachers’ Standards. The ambition is that the scheme becomes both self-sustainable and accredited.
The position will involve a combination of working from home and within school with some travel involved. Hours of work will be as required by the role to a maximum of 1o hours paid per week. This will initially be a fixed term contract until 31st August 2017
