The Academy is partner in a European-funded Comenius School Partnership Project to research and design a European Portfolio Certificate. The ambitious long-term aim of this project is to develop and accredit a European qualification for school-leavers based on the Steiner curriculum and focusing on independent study and project work. The second project meeting was held in Potsdam, a few kilometres outside Berlin. Under grey skies, yet surrounded by the full splendour of a rich autumn tree-scape, colleagues from 13 Steiner schools in 8 European countries gathered to continue their investigations into the design of a common framework for student portfolio work. Alongside discussion of criteria and formats, participants also analysed and reviewed student portfolios from several schools. The next meetings take place next term in Antwerp and Leiden.
