The ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING of the Steiner Academy Hereford Ltd is on Monday March 23rd at 7.30pm in Birch Hall. Refreshments will be served from 7pm. The agenda for the AGM includes: presentation of SAH’s final accounts, an annual report from the Governors, the election of new governors, and the confirmation of SAH’s Auditors. The AGM will be followed by an OPEN FORUM. If you are unable to attend please fill in and return the proxy form.
The Annual trustees Report 13-14 is available here.
Alternatively you can contact the clerk Sarah Doyle at firstname.lastname@example.org or Kate Robertson at email@example.com. A financial sumary of the accounts will be circulated next week.
The theme for this year’s open forum is ‘Communicating with Parents’. The parent community at Steiner Academy Hereford regularly contributes to the life of the school by participating in workdays, fundraising, helping in class, making financial gifts and much more.
At the open forum we will be discussing the quality of our communication. How effectively you feel the school communicates not only about matters of fundraising and volunteering but also on a range of other subjects:
How do you feel the school communicates with you regarding your child’s education and progress?
Do you find parents evenings informative and do you feel sufficiently well informed about class activities and trips?
Would you welcome talks on specific topics e.g. a series of talks by David Donaldson giving a picture of what your children will be learning each year from classes 1 to 8?
Do you find it difficult to get to school during the day or evening to attend talks and meetings and is there anything that could be done to make it easier for parents to attend such sessions?
Do you know who to approach with your concerns? Are you confident of being listened to and are you comfortable to speak openly and honestly?
Please come along to the open forum on the 23rd March which will start straight after the AGM. This is your opportunity to contribute to the discussion, ask questions and suggest improvements.
It would be appreciated if any specific questions particularly on the subject of communication (or any other matter) could be emailed to the Clerk to the Board of Governors
(Clerk.firstname.lastname@example.org) by Friday, 20th March.
To help inform the discussion on ‘Communicating with Parents’ at the upcoming AGM and Open Forum (23rd March at 7.30pm) we would appreciate your help in allowing us to quickly survey your views with nine simple questions on how effectively you feel the school communicates with you. The Open Forum will include a short presentation of the outcomes of this survey. You will have received an email with the link.
The survey is anonymous and can be found at the following link, https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/RW5DRG6
